We worked with Kasia and Raphael in June to dig up our old brick paver patio and put in a new and larger one. In the 2+ months we've been finished with the project, not once have I regretted the decision. Kasia and Raphael helped us finalize our design - we wanted simple but nice and functional, which is exactly what we ended up with. The team that was here building the patio was polite and friendly, and hard working. We were communicated with often to keep us updated with any issues and I really felt that our happiness with the outcome was very important. I cannot say enough about Raphael and his team. He has done a total of three projects for us. Our first was in Jan 2020 where he installed a sump pump in our crawl space. Our next project was a 1,000 square foot patio in Dec 2020. It was on time and done within budget. We knew about a possible added expense of a tree grinding because under the old patio was a huge stump but did not know the magnitude of how big and what was needed to remove it. The third job was August 2021 and completing a fence to separate out garbage/storage area from the new patio.

They make sure the job is done and guarantee their work in their contract. I liked best that he only asks for 1/2 of the work cost upfront to secure supplies and final payment due after the job is complete. I know many friends who have paid a full amount to a contractor who never even did any work.

WOW! I can't say enough great thinks about HSS and the work they did for us.  Our retaining wall is gorgeous - seriously, I think I have a crush on it!  First, Raphael quickly responded to our request for an estimate.  When we met with him, he asked great questions, listened to our requests,  understood exactly what we wanted,  and provided a timely quote. He and his team showed up when they were supposed too, we received updates on progress and they finished our job on time.  The workmanship is outstanding, and I am so happy we found Raphael! Raphael and his work crew are the perfect examples of what it means to have a strong work ethic. They rebuilt a fence, rebuilt a collapsed retaining wall, and laid down new weed barrier and gravel in a week! He was courteous, kept us informed on the progress, and even chatted with my very friendly and interested daughter. The price was very competitive and reasonable. I would use Home Service Specialists again in a heartbeat.

Rafael did an amazing job on a fence and rockery for our house. Job was done quick, and he was a delight to work with. He even took time with my 4 year old curious son to show him what he was doing each day. Our next project will be going to him again without question.
